RARA x FEED Literacy Campaign: Equipping 100 Ghanaian Children with Literacy Skills for Life

Join RARA in partnership with the FEED organisation to improve literacy for primary learners in underserved communities.

About the Campaign

In rural Ghana, many primary school children face significant challenges in accessing quality education. Resource shortages have left many unable to read or write at basic levels. The RARA Education Project CIC, in collaboration with FEED, is committed to changing this. Our goal is to empower 100 children to read confidently and provide them with the tools they need to continue learning at home.

Foundational Literacy Skills in Rural Ghana

Primary education in Ghana is critically under-resourced, particularly in rural areas. With increased enrolment but limited resources, many children are left without the foundational skills they need to succeed. This campaign addresses these gaps by focusing on literacy—a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty.

The FEED Initiatives We are Supporting in 2025

The 4 Weeks 2 Read Program is a transformative literacy initiative uses a specially designed curriculum to help non-readers become confident readers within four weeks. Our goal is to sponsor the training of 100 students by Easter 2025. Likewise, the Lit Bag Campaign ensures that every child receives a bag filled with age-appropriate books and learning materials. These resources are essential for nurturing a love for reading and supporting continued learning at home.

Fundraising and Awareness Raising

To raise the necessary funds, Chiedza Ikpeh, Co-Founder of RARA, will be participating in the Liverpool Run Aintree 10KM this winter. This run is not just about raising money; it's about raising awareness and showing how collective action can make a real difference. Click the button below to follow Chiedza’s journey.
