Chiedza, Director, Completes 10KM Liverpool Run for 100 Children in Rural Ghana

Chiedza Ikpeh Completes 10KM Run in Aintree Liverpool

On Sunday 15th December, Chiedza Ikpeh, Co-Founder and Director of the RARA Education Project CIC, successfully completed the Aintree Liverpool 10KM run in an inspiring effort to raise awareness and funds for RARA’s literacy campaign in Ghana.

The campaign aims to empower 100 children in underserved communities to read by Easter 2025 through the ‘4 Weeks 2 Read’ program and the ‘Lit Bag Campaign’ in partnership with the Foundation for Educational Equity and Development (FEED).

Chiedza’s run not only showcased her commitment to the cause but also drew attention to the critical issue of educational poverty in Ghana. “Crossing that finish line was a reminder of what’s possible when we push ourselves and come together for a greater purpose,” she said. “Every step I took was for the children we’re determined to support.”

Intentions For Campaign Funds

The funds raised through the campaign will directly support teacher training, provide essential literacy resources, and equip children with "Lit Bags" filled with age-appropriate books and educational materials to continue their learning journey at home.

This achievement is a testament to the power of collective action, as Chiedza’s effort has already inspired significant donations and pledges to the campaign. The total fundraising goal of £3,700 will enable RARA and FEED to deliver life-changing literacy opportunities to children, ensuring they have the skills to succeed academically and beyond.

Chiedza extends her gratitude to everyone who has donated and supported the cause. “This isn’t just about one run—it’s about the future of these children. Together, we can create a ripple effect that will change lives for generations.”

For those who wish to contribute, the campaign remains open for donations. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to providing these children with the tools they need to thrive.

Together, let’s ensure that literacy becomes a cornerstone for communities across Ghana.

How You Can Support

We believe that every child deserves the chance to read, and with your help, we can make that happen. To make the Ghana Project 2025 a reality and equip 100 children with the literacy skills they need for life. There are two key ways you can support our mission:

  • Donate to Our Fundraiser: Financial support is essential to achieving our goal. If 100 people each donate £35, we will reach our target of £3500 and guarantee the success of this project. Every pound goes directly towards providing literacy programs and resources for children in rural Ghana.

  • Share Our Campaign: Help us raise awareness by spreading the word. Sharing this campaign with your network amplifies our reach and brings us closer to making a real impact in these children’s lives.
